Phil Emerson

Phil has been involved with GUITARS continuously since the age of twelve. Buying, selling, restoring and repairing guitars has been a 34-year passion, as well as playing guitar, performing & recording, particularly with archtop guitars--he loves that jazz/blues thing.

The business was formed in 1980 by Phil and wife Judy, a natural result of all those years being immersed in buying/selling/repairing/recording with--GUITARS . . .

We love the fact that our shop is a real throwback to the old days of specialty shops operated by the owners themselves; we pick out the guitars, set them up, do any necessary repairs, and really do stand behind our store stock. If we don't like the guitar, it won't end up in our shop--if Phil says that a guitar is exceptional, it is--and there's 34 years of experience backing up his opinion.

We find nice examples of all types of guitars, and insist on finding and selling at what we consider to be Fair Prices. It has to be a good deal, as well as a nice instrument . . .

We are in this business for the long haul--it's what we do for a living, and want people pleased with their guitars and experiences of doing business with us--that's the kind of advertising money can't buy!
